Sleek Lens Workflow

I’ve started playing around with ways to work presets into my editing workflow and thought I would share a few finds.  Sleek Lens has a variety of presets and brushes…here are a few examples of some personal photos from the last few weeks that I’ve played with using some presets from their Forever Thine workflow.  Our editing style is very minimal, clean, and classic…so although a lot of the presets are really cool effects for photos (and I’ll definitely use for the occasional image), the bulk of what I see myself using in my post processing of each wedding are the simple adjustments that I can make using the exposure and color adjustment/correction presets.  Here are some examples below of a few that I have worked into my everyday photo editing.

Exposure/Color Correct/Tone and Tint Adjustments | For the following images the first is how I would normally edit my photo.  I then used the exposure preset ‘Close Shadows’ for a minor tweak…then a color correct preset ‘Reduce Blue Tone’ and finished up with the Tone/Tint preset ‘Sunny Vibe’ (a favorite that I’ve started using on many images).  Subtle differences but I feel like the bottom is a much stronger image…especially for only adding 3 clicks to the process.

Tone/Tint Adjustments | My personal favorite is the one click preset that can take our sunset from looking like a tropical paradise.  I always play with the tone and tints on sunset photos anyway…but this one is perfect with one click.  Below the first photo is the image after I did my usual straightening, etc.  At this point I would have played around with color saturations, but the second photo shows you what happened with one click on ‘Tropical Sunset’ (and a quick sparkler swap and crop in PS).

And just for fun I had to try this Jaws inspired film preset on this photo of our little shark lover!  First image is my original edit, second is the Jaws preset.
